I am not a google adsense expert, I do know however it will depend on your visitors, what ads are shown, your ad placement, much more than simple page hit stats.

Ha' it's meant to be annoying thats why it's a way to improve registration!

That wouldn't work.

I find it extremely irritating and my reaction is to leave and never go back.

On top of it sounding annoying, I also have to sit and wait while my media player loads just so it can play your stupid sound.

If anything, you're making people leave. That's a pretty desperate attempt to get people to sign up.
