Hello all,
I am currently working on a website (florida.beachydee.com) and I have a question regarding the Google Adsense placement. The site uses a basic three column layout. The sites navigation menu is on the left, body content in the middle and ads on the right. Now, I have heard that you don't want to place ad blocks in the left column as these are not often clicked and they will get the top bidding ads (being placed first in the code). This will leave the low(er) bidding ads that will now appear in your body/main text ad block.
Now, my question is: I have a small link ad block in the left column. That ad block itself does not actually show ads, so, does its placement (before the main body text ad block) minimize the revenue generated from the main text ads? Even though the link ad block itself does not display ads, could the top bidding ads be getting placed within that blocks output?
Thanks and Take it easy,
Dave from TPCS
