Finally hit my $100 mark, now waiting to see if I get paid! mg:

LOL, congrats! You will get paid...maybe. :P

Not sure on how long it took. I don't really use adsense, have it on a few inactive domains, my one blog and that's about it.

Was just shocked to see it

I use it wherever it seems to make sense, but don't really use it to make much money.
I don't expect it to provide much.


Affiliate programs, on the other hand, have been better for me.

Congrats! Now you have to wait 18 years for the payment. They're payment policy is stupid stupid stupid! I started in June and in September I crossed the $100 mark. Here's what happened: On November 15 they "issued payment" it arrived in my checking account (ETA) on 11/29 the payment was only $120 something.. What I had made up October first. The didn't add in what I made from 10/1 to 11/15 which amounted to about $70. So I started November with $70 bucks I've been over $100 since the end of October but didn't get a payment in November and my account status said I'm set for processing next month. Which means I have to wait until the end of January!

Sound confusing? It is. Why don't they just issue payment the at the beginning of the month following that you made $100? It makes no sense to me. They try to make their payment trickery process seem simple with the "help" section but it really isn't.

Wow thats crazy Danny! we have never had an issue they pay us ever month. It is the same though, issed the 15th payment hits around 28th ish but I don't know why they would have held a payment if you already hit $100 again the next month..that makes no sense

Affiliate programs really in my opinion is the best option. Adsense is good for sites that do not convert well or lack a true selling point IMO..

We get our payments on the 26th of the month. so on Dec 26th we will be paid for all our clicks up to 11/30. They simply pay you on clicks until the end of the month and then wait to make sure the advertiser actually pays and then they pay you out. It is somewhat confusing/frustrating, but it is what it is, unfortunately....Still it is the best program out there IMHO. I wish everyone good luck with it and congrats again Grim!

I think adsense is good for many sites, even sites that convert. My way of thinking is if they are going to click out, you might as well get paid for it ;p. On my main site my ctr is about 8%, I think that means I have 92 out of every 100 people interested in what I have to offer. It goes both ways tho.

Traffic is everything, you can't make money on Adsense without a ton of traffic, no matter what the CPC is!

You could get a $1.50 per click, but if you only get 10 clicks every 3 months you are still spinning your wheels.

I diagree sig..we make good money with adsense, I don't think we get a "ton" of traffic at all...atleast in my opinion, 200 or less vistiors a day, some even lower

This is encouraging, good to hear. :ssmiley:

The only good single day I ever had was when I got a large shot of traffic, I think one page made $40.00 in a day!

So that is why traffic means a lot! If you could make a $100.00 a day, everyday you could quit the day job!

Traffic means a ton for affiliate links on pages too!

Do like DuWacko does, put up about 100 sites, then you can sit on your rear like he does, go Wacko on forums, signature spam, sell links and drive others to drinking!

Congrats Grim, but you've got a fair wait to actually see it. It's good to get checks from the famous Google though. I've been on the classic $1 a day pretty much since I started, not great, but at least it's consistent.

I am intrested to see if you get it.

I got a cheque in November all the way to the UK, and banked it, and spent it without any problems!

It's a great feeling getting that first $100 cheque - now you have to aim for $100 every month. It took me six months to earn my first $100, and then after playing around with the positioning of the ads I now get a regular monthly cheque.

I've been surfing my ad sense control panel and found that I had a balance of $120.96 at the end of November. Yet the "when am I going to get paid" link says I'm scheduled for payment 30 days from end of this month. I should be getting paid this month. I finally shot those clowns an email..Wonder how long until I get a canned response.:evil:

Whenever we have emailed google, they get back to us within a day...but ironically, or coincidentally, our earnings that day go down to nothing after questioning them on anything! So annoying!

What's funny to me, since I hit my $100 mark earnings per day are up. Nowhere near enough for me to even worry about it, I still have it only on crap sites 'minus my blog' but they are up.

After my pissing and moaning above Google emailed me and told me my payment would be posted this month. The payment posted to my account today $120. I'm sooo rich, I don't know what do with all that money.

Oh, I know what to do.. Pay some bills, no fun. :evil:
