Google is now using interest-based advertising. AdSense will now offer ads to users based on sites they have visited in the past. Webmasters can opt-out of this if they want. Another option they have is to allow their visitors to opt-out individually. Google recommends that webmasters change their privacy policies to reflect this. Only if you want to opt-out.

I doubt that it will have much of an effect, most "regular" internet users dont bother with reading a websites privacy policy.
