    Default Irrelevant Advertising

I have this issue about Google Adsense.

Here's the situation, I had this sites live for about a few months now. I usually update the content and the site has a really good indexing. I noticed this morning that the ads on the index page shows some irrelevant advertising on them. the site was a mask website and it shows on the Google Ads some web hosting and dedicated server advertisements.

What are your thought regarding this issue? What is wrong? I checked the content and it has no relevant terms there about dedicated servers and hosting. :s I need some feed backs from the experts.

    Thanks guys!

Well, I've been reading about Google's new "Interest Based" advertising scheme. Basically, Google is tracking the websites (via browser cookies) you have visited and will show you ads based on those sites. If I had to hazard a guess, I would say that you are being shown ads based on the types of other websites you have visited.

You can read more about it on their Blog: Official Google Blog: Making ads more interesting.

I hate it, hate it, hate it. Kind of goes against the whole contextual advertising thing...but what are you to do?

My suggestion though, to cut down on this sort of thing, would be to start using your competitive ad blocker in your Adsense control panel. I've had some success keeping irrelevant and low paying advertisers off of my pages. Be warned, it becomes too time consuming to constantly update.

On top of it, but thank you. Also, haven't had time to mess with the Opt-Out plugin, hell it should be Opt-In at any rate.

You can also opt-out your entire AdSense account from anything related to DoubleClick.
