Thread: Age Problem

Alright, so I signed up for an account on Adsense, and I didn't notice there was an age limit until I was reading the Terms and Agreement today. So, a month ago, I signed up for an Adsense account and I was only 17. But, now a little bit more than a month has passed and I am now 18 and have to fill out the Adsense Tax thing. I know that they will be able to see that I am 18 when I give them my SSN, but I am worried that they will look to see if I was 18 for the duration of my account so far. So, I don't want to send in the tax information if I know I am going to get banned. Do you think they will ban my account even though I am 18 now? Or will they just let it go?

Anyone know?

Well, if they allowed you to sign up for adsense account when you was 17 ( i guess you were running 18) and now you have completed 18. so it should be a problem really to send them the tax info.

Just my 2 sents.

I had my accounts in my mums name which she was cool with I suppose you could delete your account and start all over again? Or just send in the tax info and hope that they dont check.

Why not just wait until you turn 18? I'm sure it is not that far to your next bday.

I am currently 18, its just that when I signed up for the account, I was not 18 and I was 17. I haven't had to give them my tax information because I have not made $10 yet. So, my only problem is that when I give them my tax information, they will notice that when I started my account, I was not 18. So, I am worried that they will be strict and ban me because when I started my account I was not 18. Do you think this will happen? I think some of you said it wouldn't right?
