Don't click on your own Google ads.
No *beep* Sherlock!!! Clicking on Google ads for *any* reason is strictly prohibited. Want more information about one of the advertisers appearing on your site? Use the AdSense preview tool.
Don't ask others to click on Google ads.
Well duh!!!! All the time, sites are found that have text saying to for example click on the ads to support the site. Visitors should click on Google ads only because they're interested in the services being advertised.
Don't employ pop-up prompts or automatic software installations.
Google is dedicated to improving the user experience on the Internet, and promoting responsible software principles is part of that effort. Sites showing Google ads may not prompt users to install software on their machines. Publishers must also not attempt to change users' browser home pages automatically or via pop-up prompts.
Watch how your site is promoted.
Pages showing Google ads can't be loaded in an unrequested pop-up. Be very careful when purchasing traffic or setting up ad campaigns with third parties. Make sure they will never display your site in pop-ups, or as a result of the actions of any software application.
Watch your content.
Google ads can't be displayed with any type of content prohibited by the policies, for example adult or mature content, gambling-related content, or drug content.
Don't mess with the AdSense code.
If you want to change the code, E-mail them asking for permission.
Make web sits for users, not for Adsense, aka, not made for AdSense sites.
Don't contain excessive pop-ups, use sneaky redirects to obtain traffic, or otherwise attempt to interfere with normal web navigation. Make sure your site doesn't deceive your users in any way. remember to follow Googles Webmaster Guidelines.
Be responsive when they E-mail.
Be responsive to emails sent by AdSense, if for example they ask you a question, of mention that something is against the TOS. Be sure to keep your email address up-to-date.
Watch out for nice DOS attacks.
If you're about to get a huge increase in visitors, let Google know a few business days in advanced and save your E-mail, and Googles reply. On the radio, Digg, or other network sites?? E-mail them with the URL linking to the site.
Don't tell anyone about your site!!!
Don't tell your friends, family, pets, wackos....that you got web sites with AdSense. Last thing you want is them 'helping you out' and then getting dumped for invalid clicks!!! But my ex-wives sun-in-laws brothers father thought he could help me out.Tuff luck!!
Read the flippen manual!!!
Read the Terms of Service and try to understand what is says. A lot of times people confess to doing stuff that the TOC says not to do. If you're not sure if something is OK to do, E-mail them, even if it's as simple as placing images next to the ads.
Got any other ideas? Post them.
