Thread: First time using adsense.

I find this hilarious.

I recently added adsense to my site,

And like,
i've been checking it daily.



I got a click a few days back.
And I got $0.07 for it.
And I was all excited, hurray effortless revenue!


Today, i noticed I got another click, and I"ve jumped to $1.01.
Which, I find funny.


Anyone care to explain why? D;

This is completely normal. The frequency and the rank of an ad depends on the amount that the advertiser is willing to pay and also the click through rate. Therefore it is possible that an Ad with a high click through rate for which an advertiser pays 0.1 may be shown as frequently as one which the advertiser is paying $1.00 but which has a CTR of less than one-tenth.

"Anyone feel like clicking?"

I would strongly recommend that you refrain from encouraging your friends and visitors to click, or to click on the Ads themselves. Google would not hesitate to terminate accounts of new users who are caught cheating.

I know, that's why I remove the chance when anybody posts about it. D;

Use high paying adsense keywords in your web content.

AdSense is crap. Try YPN or try affiliate marketing.

I've given up on adsense. :P

WHAT! You gave up already why? like you said even if you're not making much its effortless revenue...imagine if you put even a little effort into it, but hey you can do what you want. I love adsense myself so I'm biased :P

But now trying to gain actual revenue, I've been stuck at 13.62 for the last month.

I've evolved quite a bit since I showed up here, haven't I? :P

Some days Adsense seems to be unstoppable. Other days they seem to totally SUCK! Personally, I have had pretty good success with it. Be very careful about disclosing your Adsense details. You would'nt believe the number of people that get banned because of that. In the Google forum, people will tell you that Google knows all and sees all! In reality, though it's just some dude that reports you. There are people that make it their lifes mission just to ruin other peoples accounts.

I myself is up to $18 in my Adsense

It's all about traffic and the demographics. The myspace crowd will click on anything.

I remember checking my account like I was addicted to it :twisted:, that quickly changed and I got back to revenue building activities. But it was a good education about what works and why.

I now quickly look at my blog posts stats to see which ones are hot and I then populate them above and below the hot content with just text link adsense ads and I don't over due it. I use just the text ads so that my readers are not overwhelmed with adsense however they are offered an alternative and my adsense revenue is doing alright. Adsense is not my main source of revenue.

For what it's worth I know some build out site that pull in a good amount of revenue with adsense however for me I have found other areas that I focus on to generate the dollars.

Thats a fine way that if you are not able to generate much from one sources move on to another if i had also kept on doing same thing what the usual person does and wait for adsense ads to be clicked then i would have not generated even a single penny.

My adsense has gone to hell. I blame it on the ad targeting. My ctr is down to 1.12%
