Default Pausing keywords within a Adwords campaign.

Let say you have 20 keywords in your ad group. You pause 5. Does Google still read 20 keywords in your ad group or 15?

The reason I ask is I am curious to know if this effects my QS, CTR, or all of the above?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Theoretically, Google should only be then reading the 15 and (technically) your AdGroup stats should improve. However, I put this to one Google technician who said that the system gives you a higher QT ranking if you actually delete the keyword rather than pausing it.

    HTH,

    Jed.

I always delete the keywords not in use.

But to avoid this and for better results, I rather create multiple adgroups for different keywords.

    HTH,

    Jed.
Jed, if true, that is great information! I am going to run some tests and see how it works out.
