How Clickbank works?:shuh:
That's a good question. I will be awaiting an answer too. I have been to the site a few times and can't make head nor tail of it.

Simple, if you are a merchant selling digital goods, you sign up there.
Then set up your sales pages, affiliate tools if any, and then advertise for affliliates. Plus other people on clickbank may become an affiliate.
If you just want to sell products from the clickbank marketplace, get an account.
Find the products you want to sell, grab the affiliate links and tools if there are any for that product.
So basically you need a site dedicated to something someone is selling on there? You can't just whack the code on any old site?

If you are just going to sell something from the marketplace,
you can just slap the affiliate link or banner anywhere you please.
So it's basically like CJ where you play hit and miss? If one doesn't work, try another?

Hate to break it to you, but all affiliates are like that.
What sells great on one site, will not do good on another.
You have to test to see what sells.
With clickbank it works best to get products that complement your site as much as possible.
EG: have a pet site, forget trying selling seo products. Stick with pet products.
Which is better CJ or Clickbank?

I have always done way better with cb than ever with cj.
Plus with cb products, you can get up to 75% of each sale.
I found the opposite applied when I was with CJ. I started out with what I thought was targeted, but after a while I switched to some things completely "unsuited" for my site and started seeing the cents and dollars creep up finally. I guess just because they visited my site, didn't mean that's where their interests were at all times.
I don't like Clickbank at all. They start deducting commissions in your account when it reaches a certain level of inactivity.
Clickbank products are thought to be most suitable for promotion through PPC and e-mail marketing other than SEO, since most merchants only have one product only. Whereas CJ merchants can be promoted easily through SEO.
I've heard a lot of compaints from people saying they are getting a lot of clicks but no comissions. I guess it's worth a try.
I guess it depends on the niche of the market you want to reach, some affiliate programs might be good for one niche but not for others.
