I had been using adbrite on a lot of my websites and was getting good amount of clicks per day, and then suddenly the clicks stopped and there were no clicks for weeks. At first I thought maybe this was just the way it was and people were not clicking for whatever reason, but then I decided to conduct a little experiment, which would likely get you banned but as I was not going to stick wit adbrite that did not matter to me.
I got various friends and colleagues from all different IP's and parts of the world to click an ad each and then confirm what ad they clicked. In total about 20 people took part in this over a period of a 2 weeks which ended yesterday. I did not bother to look at adbrite until this morning to see what the results were. And guess what? Not one click has been registered through adbrite. Upon further investigation, the CPM (Per impression) was totally way out with the stats from Analytics and Awstats. I'm not talking about a few thousand out, I'm talking hundreds of thousand of impressions out.
I dread to think of the amount of revenue that has been lost through this complete balls up from Adbrite, but just a warning to everyone, keep an eye on your activity and stats with adbrite... and if your stats have gone way down this may well have happened to you too.
I am thinking of using adsense everywhere on all sites now, but just one question? Adsense and Adbrite aside, which is the next best PPC for publishers to use?
