I guess you need to choose affiliate program thinking about what product you're promoting on your website - so first you need to tell what is your site about than it's possible to choose better affiliate program

It depends. And t depends mainly on your purposes and aims. If you want to receive stable income then try some programms based on referrals.

i use MegaShare.com file hosting network affiliate program

and earning more then 1800$ a month so in my opinion
free file hosting network is a great way to earn steady income

What works for one person may not work for another. That's just how life & business works in today's world. One can't really tell you what the best affiliate program is without having a bias opinion based on their personal experience. Whilst one person may say that they made thousands, 50 others may say they made nothing with the same program.

If you are truly interested in selecting an affiliate program that "Works for YOU", I would suggest a few things to consider first.

1.) It helps if you have knowledge & or hands on experience with the product / service you will be promoting. It's easier to sell a product or service you have actually used before.

2.) It helps if the product / Service you choose is targeted to the content of the web page you'll be placing it on. (Example: If your page talks about baseballs, it makes sense to have ads that sell baseballs & baseball bats.) On target ads = more conversions (more clicks & sales).

3.) It helps to research a company a little before signing up. You can do a simple google search on their name and sort through the results to find any reviews or reports. Ignore people saying they don't make much, because again, it's different for everyone. What you need to look for here is if the company has failed to pay at all. meaning they owed people money & never sent it. Avoid those programs.

4.) Don't expect an affiliate program to run on auto pilot. No matter what you choose, it will take dedication, devotion, & discipline in order to get the ads seen by the right market of people interested in them. If you aren't willing to invest the time, an affiliate program won't make you anything.

The above should help you get started in the right direction.

Umm, I saw your affiliate ad in another thread to get people to sign up & I have to say that their is NO way on earth you are making that much money. First of all, all the links in the ad were not affiliate links, that means if anyone uses one of your links to sign-up their is no way to track that you were the affiliate that referred the new member. Because of that it's impossible to make any money off it. (FYI, You have to use your affiliate link when referring others to make anything - That's how affiliate programs work)

I would venture to say that you may even be the owner of that site & just trying to get signups to help you promote it. In which case, it makes your suggestion for people to signup very bias & the claim of $1,800 per month you make as an affiliate their untrue.

In the future, maybe just tell people you are looking for affiliates for a site / service, rather than saying you are an affiliate there making $x,xxx... Sometimes people check to see

Like it or not, Adsense is probably the best. Unless you are going for a really specialist niche. It all comes down to trial and error. I got indifferent results from the likes of CJ and Tradedoubler.

I use myhostingaffiliates.com and have gotten very good payout. I actually make more money through them than I do with AdSense because of the shear success rate.
