    Default Godaddy reseller

Been looking at godaddy for some time as a reseller of domain names and hosting.

    They have three plans.
But would go with the top plan.

    Anyone a godaddy reseller?
If so, let me know the ins and outs.
Like how easy to set up a site, etc>

Plus of course, are you satisfied and making money!

I just got into the hosting reselling thing. But not godaddy, I don't like godaddy hosting control panels, prefer cpanel hosts.

I have no plans to become a big host company or anything and just thought i should offer it as a service for some of my clients. Most are not very web savy, certainly not enough to set up their own hosting account and manage a website.

Doing it this way I can charge $20 to $30 per month for hostong and have no need to try to compete with the big hosts only charging $10/month or less.

And i don't do monthly billing. Up front prepaid for the year. I'm not wasting my time chasing down someone who's late on a $20 payment.

I should do the domain reselling too. When i get around to it.

    Good for you.
But I am not looking for something else or experiences with other plans or your own plans.

I am looking just for godaddy people or people who have experience with their reseller plans.

I have the middle package I believe, the top package is so you can make your own backend, etc.

I'm happy with it, I get my domains cheaper and make a little money. I however do not try to promote it much, but I do get a small amount every month.

One thing though, set it up with electronic transfer NOT check. They rape you with check fees!

You do have to get your own domain, right?
By electronic transfer, I take it from godaddy to me when I sell something?
    What is the minimum?

Do they set the site up for you, or will I have to do it?

If you use their top package where you can actually build your domain you'd need a domain. Otherwise you could for instance use a search box on your hosting site, or a link to domains.dawgshosting.com that redirects to your reseller url.

If you go to http://www.webtalkdomains.com you'll see it transfers to WebTalkDomains Low cost domain names, domain transfers, web hosting, email accounts, and so much more.

This site is setup by them, you can control it to a degree. You can decide what to offer, what prices within reason, etc

Electronic transfer is for what they owe you. Minimum I am not sure on, I do know it can be much as they will send me $15 or under at times if that's all I'm owed!

Could I just redirect a domain to theirs?

I am looking at this and since godaddy is offering me $30 off the package I select, I may do it.

Yes you can use .htaccess or whatever method to redirect a domain to your reseller code.

    I am using resellerclub.com

Their prices seem to be as competitive as Godaddy's and there is no membership fee. Their phone support is very fast.

You can see an example of a reseller site at dotbob.com (this is not my site)
