Bing is taking away market share from Yahoo the last time that I looked into this. It didn't seem to have much influence over Google.

Bing is still way behind google in popularity. I like to see someone give google a little competition, but they have a long way to go to even remotely compete with the big g.

I think the only way google's position of dominance will be challenged is if the merger between yahoo and msn, or bing as it is now, materializes.

I concur. They resort to forcing traffic by being the default search engine in a default web browser which can't be removed from the system.

I don't think thats really a fair comment. Every browser has to have a default home page - my browser came with Google as the default home page, others come with Bing as the default... I think you'll find most people's browsers have Google as the homepage.

I am confused. Is bing another search engine?? I have never heard of them?

Bing has its own criteria to search but can't beat Google.

It depends how you look at it. Yahoo search is still live although it is supposedly powered by Bing.

bing is doing good, the market share is still love, but they are inreasing thier shares month by month. Compare to G however still small.

so far, Bing is going better and better and I can say, Bing is a tough competition for Google that is why it is one of the major search engines.

Google is my favorite but I use Bing and Yahoo too...

Google is quite amazing in comparison of bing and yahoo. its provide the result that i want.

In my opinion, Google is best and will always be the best. Bing has taken some search share from Yahoo but its too far away from Google.

Google is frequently making acquisitions to better its search technologies. Just this week, Google acquired Pink, to better its Google Goggles product, which lets people search with their phones by simply pointing their cameras toward an object. They recently acquired Aardvark, a social Q&A search service also.

I think Bing is doing very well. Some of my pages that don't appear on Google are all on the first few pages on Bing. In term of market share, Google still has the biggest share.

Bing is doing good and its nice. But competing with Google.. Well that's another story.

As far as search results are concerned, in my opinion bing is the best...

I can not use the Bing, because i really prefer On Google, so i don't know

Of my point of view GOOGLE is the BEST.

Everyone that I have discussed Bing with have all said that they are getting slightly more traffic from Bing.

You are right 72Reasons, i have also noticed that bing generating slightly more traffic than google and as far SEO concern getting first place for particular keyword on bing is also easier than on google.

Bing has been experimenting on their search engine hoping that they could overtake google's position but still they are not successful with it. They are just losing money I think.

I see a large percentage of people gravitating towards bing, just because it is not google.

Some people will only begin using bing just because they are tired and fed up with google.

As with anything in this world, some people prefer the alternative instead of whatever the mainstream norm is

Google is the best search engine for any other search engines

The Bing has turn out to be an admired search engine, after Google. I also study that it has an improved adaptation ratio and user-interface than Google. Bing gives significance to the Domain age and On-page optimization.

Well Microsoft is a very large company, with various different products and technologies. But Microsoft has always lagged when it came to the Search Engine Game.

I do not remember what was before or first Search Engine they launched, then Windows Search, then MSN Search, then Live Search, they gave up for a little bit and now they release Bing Search which is their strongest attempt so far to revive their previous attempt at becoming a mainstream Search Engine.

Some say Microsoft needs to give it up already, others feel they may have finally found the right formula when it comes to Bing Search

LOL, I read somewhere that B.I.N.G. stands for "Because It's Not Google" lol

If you are searching for pr pages it is same results now a days in both search engines and Google gives more search results than bing.

Google cannot be compared with anything.. but bing is trying to improve themselves now a days. they are also trying to become one like google

i can't use the bing

because i am always prefer to Big G

and Google is the best for me

I think Bing never beat google...

I don't think so that Bing can compete the big "G". Google is one my best search engine.

Search engine efficiency depends upon how relevant information it is returning for any particular query.

First step for the above result in indexing. The more data you can have the more relevant information you can execute.

Now google has the largest data in the web while bing is in the process of accumulating the same. it will takes some time for bing to be equivalent to google.

After that one can compare how the two.

Bing is useless in my opinion, search results are nowhere near as good as googles/

I am really starting to like BING more now that they are finally indexing more of my site's pages, for the longest time only just my home page was listed on BING Search Engine Listings.

BING is currently now in the process of increasing it's index.

As a result my site now has 95 pages indexed in Bing Search and this is only occured a few weeks shortly after bing updated to it's new webmaster tools.

Google is definitely rocking it hard.
It is hard for Bing to penetrate the market when Google has already established itself throughout the years.
However, I have heard that the reported search statistics of bing and yahoo are underreported.
Google should still be in the lead though.
