Thread: Anyone Else Notice New Bing Webmasters Tools User Interface?

I have stopped checking and signing into Bing Webmaster Tools, because they only have 3 of my site's pages indexed in Bing Search Engine, also the data they had was very limited and did not update as regularly as in Google Webmaster Tools.

I just happened to sign in today and noticed that Bing has made major changes to not only Bing Webmasters Tools, now they are also including and showing webmasters actual data and statistics now on each of their invidividual sites.

Watch out Google, Bing is Coming on Strong and improving their technology and also their rapport with webmasters worldwide.

I think pretty soon, WebTalkForums, will have to create its own category to create new threads here on WTF dedicated solely to Bing Search Engine.

I find it kind of exciting, going to go look now at what kind of new data Bing Webmaster Tools is providing.

For sure Microsoft is pushing Bing but I think they still have ways to go before they have an established base like Google's. I'd love for WebTalkForums to have a Bing Engine section. I'd love to in the future to see how Bing meshes with my sites and my host. Google is flawlessly integrated right now and if Bing can pull it off, they have me by their side.

Also note that the new Bing Webmaster Tools experience is live. This has been completely redone with a bunch of new features (and more features to come). Bing Webmaster Tools Senior Product Manager Anthony M. Garcia summarizes:

The redesigned Bing Webmaster Tools provide you a simplified, more intuitive experience focused on three key areas: crawl, index and traffic. New features, such as Index Explorer and Submit URLs, provide a more comprehensive view as well as better control over how Bing crawls and indexes your sites. Index Explorer gives you unprecedented access to browse through the Bing index in order to verify which of your directories and pages have been included. Submit URLs gives you the ability to signal which URLs Bing should add to the index. Other new features include: Crawl Issues to view details on redirects, malware, and exclusions encountered while crawling sites; and Block URLs to prevent specific URLs from appearing in Bing search engine results pages. In addition, the new tools take advantage of Microsoft Silverlight 4 to deliver rich charting functionality that will help you quickly analyze up to six months of crawling, indexing, and traffic data. This new stuff sounds pretty cool, also after reading this article I learned something new, I was unaware that Bing Search Results are what powers search on Facebook as well.

Also must comment on the transparency that Bing Webmasters Tools is now providing webmasters worldwide, that is one thing that people have been demanding from Google for a long time.

Also BingBot (Bing Search Engine's Crawler Spider) will completely replace and take place over Microsoft's current MSNbot in October 2010

No, i haven't checked Bing webmaster tool interface from long time, so don't know. Well thanks for telling this thing now i will check it out.
