What are some of the benefits of posting comments on Blogs with a nofollow attribute? It seems that there really are no Blogs in any particular niche that allow dofollow links. At least I have been unable to find one. I've followed a lot of lists to no avail. Is it because of all the spammers or do the Blog owners seek financial gain as the directories do?

The point of having nofollow is because of the spammers. I think the blog owners who do this want to have quality content instead of quantity which is what most strive for anyway. For me, I allow all sorts of comments to get as much input.

The content must be quality and that is very important.

A lot of blog owners don't realize that WordPress and other CMSs automatically NoFollow comments. In order to undo the automatic NoFollow, you typically have to install a plugin; which they know nothing about.

The people who do know about it generally leave it on to deter spammers. However, as I've pointed out before. NoFollow really doesn't deter spammers because there are two benefits to leaving comments on blogs. One is the backlink. The other is exposure to the community. Even if you are not getting any link juice, you are still exposing your blog to that site's community. I get clickthroughs from the comments I leave on blogs all of the time. So yes, I think there is tremendous value in leaving comments on blogs even if they have the NoFollow attribute.

If you leave an interesting/informative/well composed comment on a blog related to your own then there's a reasonable chance the blog owner will visit your blog when they moderate the comment. If they like your blog when they visit then they'll keep on returning or tell other people (or both).

I suspect the reason that the majority of the blogs you comment on are no-follow is because that's the default setting; in wordpress at least.

I in general do a lot of blogging for backlinks and also some fresh content that might help the PR just a little.

Sure blogging will always be a big help for link building... Posting great article sure will attract reader that do not care of do follow and no follow things.

as google changes its analytics, i think no follow or do follow lesssen its count.

In searching for new blogs to read, I actually focus on the blog comment section of my favorite bloggers. When I see a valuable comment made by some blogger, I visit his or her site and when I do like it, I'll visit it again. Or I may even include the site in my blog roll. Blog commenting is a good way of earning readers.

Blog comments help to get links from the website also website owner or writer can know about their performance. As i am a writer for SEO content, i love to reading comments on my blogs.

I must say that no follows blogs help you, not really equivalent to dofollow ones yet this help you in diversity of backlinks and rapid backlinks generation.
