Default Has anyone used a theme like this?

Webmaster Forum - View Single Post - Free Wordpress Themes from Garcia the one titled Red Star. I can't figure out how to get the post in the picture or where to actually put the pictures so they show.

    Here is the theme URL.

If I am not misunderstanding this - It would seem that you would just need to use the "Insert Image" icon in the toolbar when you are creating, or editing a post.

I don't think this problem is really related to the theme itself.

I tried inserting it into the image, but when I viewed the site, the gallery bit just tried to load, so it needs to go somewhere that it recognised.

    From the "read me"
The featured content gallery plugin is now fully automated which means that posting content is easier than ever. When writing a post that you want to be featured in the gallery, simply select the category you set within the plugin options page, upload an image to be displayed within the gallery and paste the path to that image in a custom field called “articleimg”. I have included a screenshot below to show you how a sample gallery post should look within WordPress.
I don't understand what is meant by custom field and where to put it.

Are you sure the custom field isn't listed on the bottom of the new post page (see screenshot)? Lastly it appears as if a plugin comes with that theme did you activate the plugin?

I'll take a look at the custom field now area thanks!. The plugin was activated

I'd like to see it working for what I have in mind.

Autumn added 18 Minutes and 2 Seconds later...

That didn't work either, so I must be missing something

Ok, so first things from what I read from that read me section. The plugin you got with the theme must be activated and then you must go into the options panel. This can usually be found on the plugin page itself next to the plugin or on the left side under settings. Then I'm assuming you create a gallery category and when you publish a post you put it in that category so you must create that category in the options. Then when you have the post all set to go you either upload the image you want onto your host or get the link to where it is. Then go down to the custom field section near the bottom of the post page. Set the name to "articleimg" and paste the link to the image on the box next to it. Then you publish the post like normal. I think that should get you what you want, if not then the read me section doesn't make sense.

Maybe you should try using another theme. I am sure there are still a lot of nice themes out there.

Did all that. Ended up giving up and am looking for something else now.
