That is when I hit the upgrade link.Fatal error: Cannot redeclare pclziputilpathreduction() (previously declared in /home/******/public_html/territorian/blog/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade/lib/pclzip.lib.php:5421) in /home/******/public_html/territorian/blog/wp-admin/includes/class-pclzip.php on line 5498

Just from the sounds of it, sounds like a corrupted upgrade,
I would try manually upgrading to the latest, by hand.
I will look into this error in detail by code, and find out what
is sourcing it, and why it would be declared twice!
*added: I would also highly recommend upgrading any plugins
out of date, there's about 4-6 major plugins whom conflict with
the new version. wp-print, wp-email, wp-sticky, whom I use
2 out of 3 listed. without upgrading it will give errors.![]()

disable that auto upgrade plugin.
I haven't updated yet to 2.7.1... Maybe I will check it out later. I believe it is indeed the best blogging cms out there...![]()
Ah that could be it. The host that is on doesn't have upgrade facilities in fantastico so I used the plugin.
The upgrade function we are talking about is not in fantastico. It is right in the WP admin and was added with the 2.7 version. You should see a link up at the top of your admin page that will let you update with one click.
I was using that upgrade plugin for a long time but now it is no longer necessary.

wordpress 2.7 and onwards has got auto update built in the core.
No need for that plugin.
Yes I know all that, but some hosts have an updated fantastico that tells you when a new version is available and you can upgrade with one click instead of all the "click here to go to the next task" with the plugin. I used that instead of the plugin for those sites.
That is not a security update, I think I'll pass
