Thread: How do you see my web/graphic design blog?

I started blogging around 4 months ago and I am trying my best to put informative content in there but I don't know why I don't have many subscribers?

My content is not good? or I should wait some more time to get people's attention and interest?

I get around 50-60 visitors daily but yesterday my blog's PR changed from PR1 to PR3 so I hope I will get more visitors now

It's a great blog and i feel your pain. I stopped blogging because of this very reason but keep up the good work and things will happen.

Some subscribers is better then none so you got that going for you.

Yes, I have decided to not lose hope and keep working hard for my blog

I am actually enjoying it now more than before, I find "blog" more powerful than forums.

I jumped from PR1 to PR3 in just 3 months (because of social bookmarking and others) but my forum didn't jump for which I did the same effort.

First of all, nice looking blog. Second of all, PR doesn't have a thing to do with traffic. I've had PR3 blogs with over 1500 uniques per day and a PR6 blog with around 500. Traffic boils down to marketing and not a thing to do with the ghostly number that is Google PR.

I would also like to note, that you can't just have a 'good' site in the niche you are covering. You have to have an excellent site before you start generating regular visitors and generating back links. There is a lot of competition in that niche, with plenty of free tutorials, advice, and services. Learn where you can shine or what they don't offer and go after that.

Why not 'Good' site? only because there are already many web design blogs? I don't believe that.

Also, I am not blogging to compete with other blogs or something.. I am just blogging because I am a graphic artist and this is the best I can do so why not share my knowledge with others?

If I learn something new I post it on my blog to let others know about it.

your content is good.. blogs takes a lot of time to get attention... don't worry you will reach your goals.

Good looking blog. Blogging is a tough place though. Not everyone is going to get engadget kind of numbers even if the content is great.

It's just little things. And i am by no means an expert in english. For example i've placed the correct word in brackets:

In this post(,) I am going to share some interesting and very little-known computers(computer no need for the "s") & internet related words. We may have read them somewhere (else) but we did not know the meaning of most of these words. This post is going to help you knowing(know) the meanings of those(these) tricky words.

By the way do you know if using cgi images posted by other people on blogs and social networking sites for my gaming site legal?

Your blog is all right but you must change the background colour of your blog from white to some other colour since it is looking very cheap and rest i think every thing is ok.

blog looks really nice, I love the design but remember there's a lot of web design related blog and a lot which are very successful so you must do a lot of promotion to compete with the big guys even if that's not your goal but you might as well want to sell some ads and make a few extra cash.

Personally I launched a blog recently and have received more than 150 comments in less than a month but the reason is that I actually don't have a competitor, but for web design blog it's more difficult. But good work, you starting perfectly.
