Thread: Can I earn money through blogging at blogger.com or wordpress.com?

Hi

I am writer but never had the time to create a blog for myself. Till date, I have been writing only for my clients.

At the moment I have about 30-35 empty blogs with me (about 4 months) at blogger.com and wordpress.com which I used to use solely for checking up my stuff.

I wanted to know whether I can use these blogs to generate money. Maybe write blog posts for myself and use them.

I truly need some suggestions related to whether they can be used for adsense or not, whether I can use them to earn money through other resources or not. It is my desires to earn about 500USD per month from each of these blogs in coming 6 months.

In my knowledge, adsense is no longer accepting free blogs like blogger or wordpress

They definitely accept Blogger.
They would accept free-hosted WP.com blogs too, but WP don't support it.

I did apply the blog, fashion-how-tos.blogspot.com, at adsense. They rejected it with the reason that its a free blog and they only accept upper level domains like, .com.

Any suggestions how I can work to solve this problem

Google owns Blogger.
AdSense is a Google service.
Blogger (e.g. Google) actively encourage people to sign up to AdSense - in fact the new Blogger dashboard has a direct sign up link.

Yes, By Posting Regular Posts and Adding advertisements. You can surely earn via blogger or wordpress.com. :cheerful:

Not heard of them doing that before but if it is true just get yourself a custom domain for your blog. It can be set up in minutes problem solved.

Wordpress.com don't allow contextual ads however you could promote aff products with it. On blogger.com you can do almost anything you want.

Yes it is useful if you put serious attention on your blog.

It's a lot harder than you think.... think about it if it's that easy to make good money like that everybody would be doing it... and i guess to a certain extent many people are.

ya of course both of them are very helpful in making money since they help you in making blogs and if these blogs are accepted by google adsense they will pay you for it.

I knew many people already earned money from blogging only.
In your problem, you need to buy a .COM domain and put it on your blog and it will definitely be accepted by Adsense. My friend used to tell me that.

If you have established it with quality content, then you can place adsense on it or other PPC Advertising or you can be an affiliate to other relevant sites.

who told you this?
not sure about wordpress,but with blogger it could not be easier,just click on the monetize button/link on your blogger dashboard enter your adsense pub-#00000000000 and you are all done!

I am not really sure about Wordpress.com, but I heard it was better than blogger.com and I think that blogger.com is very useful to make a blog. Try out blogger first, just so you can get a feel for it first.

I don't believe that you are going to generate that much revenue from free blogs. You will be able to make more money selling the content. You basically are giving the content away.

Use whatever you don't sell on a dot.com site. At least you will be able to sell it. Add affliates and sell text ads to get some additional revenue going as well.

You need to invest before you can earn 5000per month.

Blogger is own by google so if you put advertisement in Blogger than definitely it will help you to earn money.

You should buy a domain and then start your blog in this way you will earn some money

yes you can earn money from blog. But you need to promote your blog.

I have found blogger very useful when making money, I use both adsense and affiliate marketing.:lep-smiley:
