Thread: How do I shut off email

Hi,

How do I shut off the email on a wp blog?

I do not want it to send me emails?

Example like this

A user tried to go to mychristmasideas.com received a 404 (page not found) error. It wasn't their fault, so try fixing it.
They came from mychristmasideas.com

I also do not want emails when a comment is left.

Would like them all off.

It'll be under options.

Think the comments one is under options>discussion or something similar.
The ones about 404 pages are under options>general I think.

Or you could just change the email on the blog to a different one that you don't use (only if your wanting to get rid of all emails from Wordpress/that blog). I have an email specifically for spam...

Sorry, should have mentioned that moving the site would reset all the WP settings to their default.

Need too get rid of it. Host thought I was doing spam it sent over 100 emails out. Got to shut it off. I hate emails.

It should be in the Settings>Discussion section of your blog. You can choose whether you want to receive e-mail notifications or not. HTH.

Cool I got that still need to find the one for 404 errors?

I would think there is an option to turn those off...but I can't find anything on WP that looks like it could be of help.

I did find this:
404 Error “Spam”

Which basically is a guy with the same problem who found a plugin that allows you to change it from giving you an email each time there is an error to adding it into a custom RSS feed. So the errors can still be looked at if you want to, they just won't email you.
The plugin is:

Think I came late on this but it should be under your "settings" or "preference" options
