Default WordPress pagination: How to display sidebar content on front page only?

I need to place sidebar content on my WordPress blog that appears on the home page only.

This means the content should display only at mysite.com and not at mysite.com/page/2/

However, both the home page and inside pages use the same template, index.php, which means they both use the same sidebar.

Is there a conditional script that would prevent my home page sidebar from appearing on inside pages?

    Thanks.

You'd probably need to make a 2nd sidebar and only include it on the index.php page of your theme.
Including it not by the normal way you include a sidebar file, but the way you include any non-regular WP file.

I would quote code, but i'm in a rush at the moment and don't have the time.

To clarify, ts, any sidebar template linked to index.php would display not just on the home page, but on inside pages as well. This is not what I'm looking for.

That's why I'm hoping a conditional statement might work. If you have something in mind, please quote it, when you have the time.

    Thanks.
