Thread: Check your privacy settings

In Wordpress.
I was wondering why google was no longer crawling one of my sites. I checked and the privacy setting to block search engines was checked!
I since installed new ones and it is by default? Since when? Bahhh

I checked mine and they were not that way. But I did not do the install.

I just checked my new blog also. Installed it myself less than seven days ago and it wasn't set to block SE. So I'm fairly sure it's not the new default

I've installed several and all of them recently have had it set by default, every single one of them

Really it's a good place for discussing. The stuffs here in nice way.

It appears to be fantastico. When you install manually you get the option, when using installatron it does not add it to private, fantastico however does.
I've had this happen on multiple servers..

I just did my first WP installation using Fantastico and ran into the same issue. At least the WP admin area gives a notice that it's private and explains how to change the setting.

Really bad of fantastico imo...

My experience had it, google sometimes lagging in crawling wordpress site. I tried out wordpress free hosting blogging and find the crawling slow and not as responsive as when you did the same in blogger.
