Blogs are usually free. However, they are not usually used by companies. You can do it but they usually won't be as professional looking.

A blog is also a website... everything that you see when you open your browser is a website... A blog is just a type of website where you can record everything you want... It's like an online diary.. Yes, companies have blogs...

For a company, you can just have a normal website and include a blog into it. Check out for Content Management System like Joomla or Drupal.

You can create a blog for free, usually they used blogger and wordpress.

For the company blog, I agree with GaryP21... Most companies create their own blogs and update it regularly to recognize the site and to increase the popularity also.

I think he may be talking about a blog that is on a regular domain. In this case you would just buy a domain that you want to put your domain on, then go into the cpanel and install the blog platform on your domain. Doing this by using Fantastico is the easiest way, you can install something like Wordpress in less than a minute and it's all point and click.
