I also agree... It depend to the niche. You must write out the possible interests and focus to your target market.

^ Hmm??? happy attitude it what way??? Because it makes me puzzled and wondered...

Of course it should be informative. And my sister always tell me not to use deep words I mean unfamiliar words. Juts make your sure your post is clear and only use simple English so that your readers will understand it clearly. Because Americans are not only are target visitors.

Doing good research and writing for your readers will surely take you a long way. Again, it helps to know the topic and try not to hard-sell but put your message across clearly. If you're promoting a product, try not to over endorse it unless you've used it and have first hand experience with it.

Finally, always ask for feedback so you know how your target audience feel. Getting your users involved is a nice way of telling them that they matter and you're also listening.
