Thread: Is Myspace Blogs, are good means of traffic and PR?

If you use the html allowed in Myspace Blogs to post links to your own site, will this be good for getting more traffic and PR flowing to my overall site?

I am using Myspace Blogs as a sort of Site Map for my site, does this endeavor have any merit?

Does anyone know if Myspace even has any PageRank?

I don't think myspace will help you with PR.

But all links that get people to your site without spamming is good.

I think so...writing blogs are helpful for increase your traffic.

I am New in here but i have a some SEO knowledge and your idea is the best but you can do the not spamming here.

I also think that at least the blog is useful to attract visitors to your website.

Unless you are an avid MySpace user and have a strong following on that network I do not suggest using MySpace for most blogging purposes. Itcan be difficult for non users to access your blog, the network is horribly slow and as it has fallen off trending charts, many wont bother to look at MySpace.

I think it is effective if you have active networking in myspace considering that their is now a decrease popularity on this networking site now

I dont think it can help you with your PR but blog posting can bring your site traffic. It is worth doing.

Yes, myspace is a big growing social media to get traffic & backlinks.

I agree, MySpace blogs can be a poor medium for engaging with your site visitors but it may still offer an additional outlet for creativity and reach towards younger potential site visitors who may be interested in your site's niche.

Just like building your website, you have to build your MySpace Blog, create the content first...then attempt to network and grow your friend or contact who wish to befriend your site's presence on Myspace.

I haven't been to myspace in a while, but they had been nofollow and some confirm you want to leave the site thing. So I doubt that it will have much seo benefit for your links.

To be blunt, no. Unless - you are a celebrity and you receive high traffic on your profile page

SEO benefit seems to be a resounding "no". As for traffic, it seems more and more are leaving MySpace to go to Facebook,Twitter, etc. IMHO

MySpace.com will not pass "PR", though you could get some traffic. I'm not sure; I don't really use MySpace.

If you want something social that may pass on some juice, try using Tumblr instead.
