Do you write a blog in order to achieve profits only
Or is it a hobby just for fun
Do you write a blog in order to achieve profits only
Or is it a hobby just for fun
For me its a mix of both. I like to write blogs, I think they are actually fun to write, but the profit from them is also very appealing.
Not only for money, but for pleasure too, because you should like what you do.
I am doing it because I like it and if I get some cash it is gives more motivation to write.![]()

A lot of people write blogs for fun. I think the most successful blogs are the ones where the writer isn't in it for the profit. There is just more passion in the writing that keeps the readers coming back. I have read many blogs and can clearly see the difference between a genuine blogger and a faker.
The fakers are the ones who don't get traffic.

I write because I want to share my ideas, then it follows the profit.
I dont write for profit... i write for traffic exposure that automatically generates profits
Well, writing is a good skill..of course writing is my hobby and i want to share my thoughts,my ideas and my feelings through the writing..if my habit become a cause of profit in my business then it is a good thing.
now that i know about the benefits of blogging. i really want to blog and make money but i'm having a hard time on where to start. although, i believe that if you write well eventually money will come to you in the blogging world.
For me, I mainly do blogging as a hobby and to share my own knowledge to my blog's readers.
I just discovered that one can earn from blogging just a year ago. That time, I made my blog more attractive and purchased my domain. Did some SEO and promotion. And as of now, I'm earning from my hobby.![]()
i dont have a blog but my friends have and in the beginning they did this only for pleasure and only then they start to earn smth)
I used to write for fun a while back, but have stopped that and now write for profit. In fact, almost every piece of blog post entry I make is for affiliate marketing.
Hello,
It is my passion![]()
A good mix of both I think it's the best.

I write the blogs for both money and it is my hobby as well. I generate some income through fulfilling my hobby.

I only blog when i am annoyed about something.
First i write a blog just for after that money.
Most of the time i just write for profit as it is a best way to earn the amount that you deserve for your creativity and the efforts.

I'm with Rhiannon.
I normally blog when I'm feeling strongly about something, or I'm really pissed off!
Well, yes, profit is important, of course, but I also write for fun or.. frustration sometimes.
I also add tutorials and other interesting stuff.
It's both for me...
I would be lying if i said i didn't like the profit, but at the same time, i do enjoy writing and i write some content without knowing whether it's going to generate profit or not.

I sometime enjoy writing, but profit is nice![]()

I do, I write only for profit, thats why I am here![]()
Its a bit of both. I wanna stress that Google likes natural and good content.
If you enjoy what you're writing about and can earn profits, then why not?
About two weeks ago, I setup my own blog website. I'm doing my best to make the content as interesting as possible in order to get natural linkage. I'm trying out google adsense but I'm also going to have a go at Amazon affiliates.
I love writing.
- To me, writing is really a good way to express myself. Sometimes it is the only one I can share myself with.
- Writing for profit is an interesting challenge, an attractive goal for everyday life :happy-f:. However, I don't write mass articles, just accept to write about what I am passionate about.
Anyway, it is really good if we can balance between our hobbies and needs.
Being a blogger gives you some freedom - so it's obvious - I write only about things that I like, and make money from things I like. Writing about something you like is much easier and faster than to write for money only.
without profit, no use of writing anymore, is there?
Gone are those days when serious affiliates spent time joking online. These days, whatever they post on blogs forums and social networking sites is to drive traffic and eventually make them money.

Statements like this are why people spam and post useless crap online anymore. Potential monetary earnings are ruining the internet and both writing and grammar in general.
In no way does writing only for profit make your writing any better or more note-worthy, or provide any kind of quality.
Spammers and other scammers; all they do is write crap garbage, in hopes of making some money.
Or they keyword stuff, post irrelevant post, make off-topic comments, drop links; all for profit.
So tell me now, how does writing for profit produce any better quality content, than writers who write from the soul?
Where is the passion in pushing affliate links via writing the spam crap that is sent out in emails everyday and found in forums, or on blogs and websites?
Profit has made writing crap overall the world, no one cares about proper grammar anymore or proper use of spelling and punctuation, all they care about is money.
I am sorry but if your attempts to make money, makes you look and sound like a dumbass in your writing, then you my friend are a dumbass for writing such garbage only to make a few cents.
In my mind, you need to make some sense, in what you are writing about first, before you try to make some cents!
Get the Idea?
This is only my opinion, which I am entitled to!

Both of them. I enjoy writing articles but I also enjoy money.
It's a bit of both for me, really. Some blogs I set up with a mind to make money from it - and for others, the writing for expression is a priority. However, for all blogs I write, I ensure that I'm interested in what I'm doing.
I write posts only to provide information to visitors. It includes both that is for profit plus for creative activity.

I discovered that it's hard to make some serious money on blogging as long as you don't take it as BUSINESS. If you want blogging to become your main source of income, you have to take it seriously, just like any other business. It doesn't mean that there is no place for passion. Quite the contrary - the more passion you have, the more advantage you have over your competitors. But passion does not necessarily equal fun.

Yes..i agree with it..
Depends on my goal and mood. I usually write article for my link building on my handle website. And I also have my own blog about tech world and I enjoy writing it. But I've been busy that's why I don't have time to manage it.
