nofollow links are good for web site ?

Mmm, they can be if they bring you traffic.
But no good for increasing your SE ranking or PageRank.
It depends on what the objective is. If the sole objective is to increase page rank, then nofollow links don't cut the mustard. But some people just want traffic, in that case the nofollow links are quite helpful.

Hi,
I have a few nofollow that bring me great traffic. What is the most important to you traffic or PR? I'll go with trafficI personally feel a mix of both is best for your website.

nofolow links are good for actually giving users a chance to find your site but little use for SEO.
S
it doesnt bring much traffic and not helpful for the site indexing and ranking... but will remain as a link...
No follow links are not as valuable. However, they bring in traffic. Also, Yahoo/Bing does count no follow links! So no follow links are more of a branding tool.

Whilst the major search engines don't provide you any value for nofollow links (meaning they won't help you rise in the SERP's pages), You will find that there are a number of referrals that find you from nofollow site links & visit. To me, nofollow links are just as valuable as dofollow links, but for 2 different types of campaign strategies.
DoFollow campaigns use anchored text links which contain key word phrases that will help you rise in the search engines for that particular term when others search for it.
NoFollow campaigns us Key words & or brand names that will attract a potential customer to click the link and visit your site to learn more. Referral traffic can sometimes convert better than search traffic.
No matter which campaign you run, both help you in your long run goals, which is to get visitors that convert.![]()
Besides traffic, no follow can still be used in SEO (for search engines other than Google).

Since you're a moderator on this forum, I believe your question was supposed to be ironic. Anyways, there is no doubt that Google is a dominant search engine out there (60% of the market), but there are others as well. Besides Yahoo and Bing, there are also "local" search engines in every country that have lots of traffic.
yes.. it still counts

yes somehow but not all of them.
No Follow links are not good, but also they are not bad.
Bcz links are always welcome.
LOL..off course they're not bad.
for traffic purposes, no follow can be useful...
soooo many threads about this topic...Pls search for it..
nofollow links in my site - Webmaster Forum
rel = No follow, Is there any use of this tag?? - Webmaster Forum
I don't know where you guys got your ideas from. Most of the traffic I get on my site come from no-follow links in blog and forums. If you are only looking for dofollow links, then you are limiting yourself.
Have fun
Noone here mentioned that Ask.com ignores nofollow. So they could help your ranking with Ask.com if they don't look too spammy.
Nofollow is good for a webmaster because it is stopping the link juice from the site and Google is taking into consideration the outgoing links in a PR calculation.
Most sites find a mix of DoFollow and NoFollow links beneficial to both drive their web traffic and envigorate PR.
Maybe nofollow are not that good but that doesn't mean that is bad or it has nothing good. It also help you increase your traffic so it still has a value.
"Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted."
according to wikipedia "nofollow is an HTML attribute value used to instruct some search engines that a hyperlink should not influence the link target's ranking in the search engine's index. .."
Nofollow provides a way for webmasters to tell search engines "Don't follow links on this page or Don't follow this specific link.
Yes it is good for site because it can generate you traffic. But not good for backlinks because it doesn't count at all.
"Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted."
I see lot of people claiming that nofollow links are bad (not bad, but ones that you should not put effort).
Here is my example of great use of nofollow.
Post your blog link on facebook group with 100.000 members (you can contact group owner and make some agreement). Imagine if 5% people from that group click on your link, that is 5000 visitors from one single nofollow link... Off course Google doesn't care about it, but you are not making blog for Google to crawl, but for real live people to read.
No good, but for yahoo & bing they are good.
It counts on what the target is. If the sole target is to boost sheet grade, then nofollow connections don't slash themustard. But some persons just desire traffic, in that case the nofollow connections are rather helpful.
