Thread: How to Get more readers/subscribers

I would like to ask for suggestions (including sites) that I can use to get more readers and more subscribers.
How are you all promoting your blogs?

Also, could someone point me to Blog Networks?

The best way is to have more subscribers it to have good and valuable content (truism I know)
Or sign up on any forum/"social" website you can think of and post insightful/interesting posts. People will click on your signature just to see what kind of person you are...

you can promote using SEO method, which is pretty much slow, but you will have good results in long run.
Other way is social network website. for example create group on facebook, build large fanbase and link your blog there for direct traffic benefit.
You can also use paid service called SEM for gaining boost in direct traffic.

See, I have visitors, but no commenting or subscribing. How do I change all those visits to comments and potential subscribers?

When someone visits your blog, they will only subscribe if they feel they would like to read more of your content, make sure your content is unique and full fills its purpose, (TO HELP THE VISITOR)

As for commenting, make it obvious how to comment, and maybe add a line to the end of your post, asking them to comment, I use this occasionally, something along the lines of,

Have anything to add? Or just want to express your opinion? comment on the post below.

First thing is that you need unique and strong content for attracting readers. With social media you may attract users to click on your link but they will not read you post if its not unique and eye-catchy. Try to play with the titles and images ... these things work.

I agree with JGBlogging. You should write your posts in a way that encourages discussion. I've also read that leaving out one or two points in your articles allows your readers to contribute their thoughts. For example, if you are giving tips on generating traffic, you can leave a few ideas out of the article so readers can jump in with their suggestions.

I've also seen people on Twitter and Facebook connecting with other members and asking their opinion on their article. You have to be careful about this, though, else you may come off looking like a spammer.

You dont have to shout for readers and subscribers when you have something i mean useful content in your site.However sometimes you may run some contest type program in your site to get more subscribers and readers.You also offer something as gift like ebook if the visitor sign up as subscriber.

Try to write the contents easily understandable by the readers...your main vision is Visitors..

Promote your blog or your site in the right place where you can get traffic. Then create interesting blog post that can captivate or attract the subscribers to come back and visit again.

I have done one of my blog promotion last year and now i have plenty of subscribers.. The most important thing is your content which must be latest means "very much informative" then add your blogs to as many good blog directories.. there are subscribers even so do give your active participation in them, add your blog rss feed there and be subscribers also so that peoples follows you. Spread your blog rss in forums, many forums do provide to add feed details.. spread your blogs in social networks like facebook, twitter, technorati, newsvine.. find out these kind of sites. and yes never forget to do social bookmarking of your new post, if you follow these much steps you will see sudden rise in your subscriber list, if it still fails then do some contest and engage your visitor in comments.. whoever has the max comment will win some sort of.. and in mean while try to include as many informative content.. i do hope this will work.
