Best free classified plugin for wordpress?

I have a 4 year old domain and I am thinking of creating a classified ads using wordpress but found these plugins too expensive. I just want to try. Is there any good wordpress plugin where you can add featured lists at homepage?

You don't need to add plugin to your wordpress. You just need find themes using feature list. And now many themes have this feature. Example gazzete..

The problem being often plugins are updated to include new features, etc where a theme may break at the next WP update..
