they're both good in getting traffic but the thing is,forums are faster than blog commenting.

The best is a mixture of everything - you want to have a diverse link portfolio pointing at your site. It looks more natural than just having one type of links and if Google ever devalues any single type of link building then you still have the others to rely on...

Well as long as you are participating on sites with the same user base as your website then both blog commenting and forum posting are good ways to attract traffic and improve your website's page rank.

But if you are going to let me choose between the two then I would go for forum posting because in forum posting you get the exposure and you have the opportunity to interact with other members at the same time build a reputation for yourself.

Blog commenting, because it's more of a direct connection between the author and yourself, even more so if the author interacts with people.

Both have their uses but forums are generally good for general traffic, while blogs are better for targeted traffic.. for backlinks, it won't matter if the links are "nofollow"..

Both are very important to generate traffic to your website. By doing blog commenting and forum posting results in good ranking in search engine and generates good traffic to our website.

Blogging and forum posting both are main and important part of SEO....
I think both have their own different importance no one is less important than other.. Both are great source for getting traffic.....
