They're both well known resources, but definitely handy for those who did not know.

Template Monsters are not free. They're the same prices as their other themes. They initially released 4 or so wordpress themes to see how they're received and that made them decide to design and sell wordpress themes.

Emily has some nice themes, no doubt. But I didn't feel like clicking on 900+ links to view them all a couple of days ago, and I still don't. She needs a viewer!

Template monsters too, has some really nice themes. However, many of them are just too graphically intense for me. They must irritate dial-up internet users.

If someone has a spare minute or two, could you please take screenshots of the 980+ Wordpress themes and post the thumbnails in this thread? mg:

I follow the planet wordpress (http://plant.wordpress.org) RSS feed which has a blog listing new template & plugin releases daily.

For themes I generally choose from the theme viewer @ http://themes.wordpress.net/ unless I see something I really like.

I'm a stickler for "official" release places because if there is an update I won't know of the update if it's on a site I don't visit. I rarely install vB hacks from places outside of vB.org because I like to keep up to date.

Thanks Danny, I didn't know about this!

The problem with templatemonster is that the templates there are not quite actually free! Sure there are coupons for template monster but you will still have to pay for them.
I use the template section in the wp Admin to find free templates.

I found really tremendous blog themes here. Thanks for this great stuff.
