Hi
Do you use both Windows firewall and a 2nd firewall such as Zone Alarm? Or just the one?

windows firewall seems to work well enough for me...haven't had any problems yet...
unless AVG has a firewall that i didn't read about
Can't Touch This
I shall call him squishy, and he shall be mine, and he shall be my squishy!...in my pants
Router has firewall capabilities as well for most
I run Windows and some of my systems run third party firewalls. All systems however do go through my main router which does have firewall systems installed.

you can't have too many firewalls I say. especially with the sites I visit. you wanna look at boobs, you gotta take risks.

I use Cisco Pix firewalls at my home, my office and all my colo's. I don't trust Windows' built in firewall.

Windows firewall it is a powerfull and very good, but if you don't like it i will suggest to take a look to Outpost Firewall.
You should not use two firewalls at the same time.
I do not trust anything Microsoft has put since windows 3.1. I use separate firewalls for each computer in addition to the main server of the house.

I use my crappy modem's NAT... then a 3rd party firewall...
I wonder if that's enough though.
That's anti virus Firewalls do not matter. They kind of back each other up.

I have Windows firewall and Comodo. I tried to install ZoneAlarm but to no avail. I got BSOD after installing it.![]()
I've got Windows firewall disabled on both my XP machines - I run Sygate Personal Firewall instead. It's free, it's old school, and it rocks![]()
I use visnetic, not sygate, I was locked out of my server on my first attempt with sygate, will never forget that.
I support http://www.webtalkforums.com
I disabled Windows Firewall and installed my own, which my ISP provides (a branded version of F-Secure) and it's REALLY great, takes almost no resources, but is great at finding any problems.
But that doesn't make up how much my computer sucks anyways.

You can run more than one firewall, but you should know what you're doing.
I've seen too many people cut themselves off from the internet because they have too much going on.
A good rule of thumb...
If you don't know whether or not it's safe to run more than one firewall, you should stick to one.![]()

Well, I just don't like Vista, so I disabled almost all the features it has. UAC, Firewall and Aero.
But everytime I try and bid on a Apple on eBay, the seller gets banned:slaugh::sundecided:
i only use one firewall that comes with my router
I use MS's firewall and the 'firewall' in my Netgear wireless router. Any more I think is an overkill TBH, bearing in mind my provider also supplies some safeguard
window firewall is not good enough, try zonwalarm
