Default Anyone using the FireFox 3 beta (2,3,4,) 5?

I really wanted to try it out since in version 3 there are over 300 memory leak plugs...that in and of itself was enough for me to give FF another try....so far so good.

Had a question though, does anyone know a way to adjust the tabs...what I mean is, instead of tabs going all the way across the top...like if you have a ton of tabs open, I'd like to be able to see all the tab headers @ once (to see if any of them are still open).

Otherwise I have to hit the arrow on the right and scroll for days until I get to the end of the open tabs.

I'm not sure about the tabs thing.

But yeah, FF3 (or Gran Paradiso, depending on where you're looking) is amazing.

And I'm not sure how many of you know about it, but I'm working on a new revolutionary filetype! :O

sounds like a cool project for sure!
NOW I know what the transparent button is for with my anigif program!

I just wish my add-ons would work with the beta though

Cool but I don't see myself helping FF to troubleshoot their beta products, can be hell of a problem especially when they keep crashing

I've been opening mass tabs...yet to crash yet but you have a point...crashing = bad

    Opera>FF!

Nah, i'm still going to try FF3 when it comes out for real, see if it's more to my tastes. Opera is what I like to use now, although I don't like that some things don't work with it (e.g. stumbleupon toolbar, google toolbar, alexa toolbar, and more)

ordinarily I would wholeheartedly agree with you about Opera >>>> FF/IE BUT .....OMG ...Opera totally craps out with shareapic!! the site it totally worthless with Opera...I bet b/c it's so heavily Java scripted!

but yeah, I hate the lack of google TB & roboform with opera though

Yeah, Opera doesn't like shareapic with me either. But for the one site it's not much hassle to open FF or something...

People shoudn't have that much JS on pages anyway (although it's for good use on shareapic, most of it)

yeah, it was pissing me off royally until it finally donned on me that Opera was the cause...I mean SaP is slow enough already, I thought it was just par for the course...I was seriously wrong! :stongue:

tim, it automatically tells you when there's an update.

It's this really annoying box that sits on the top left of your pc screen and never leaves unless you update.

    fscking thing.

i was under the impression that it "periodically" checks for UD's since that's what it tells you!

either that or it tells, you, give you as dialogue box on the bottom of the screen but then goes away...I've missed it a few times.

screw it, I'm going to check again

I have upgraded my Firefox to the latest version of Firebox Beta and the interface and everything was looking pretty good, but I'm not used to that interface so I have changed back to the stable version of Firefox.

If you like nice interfaces you should definitely give Firefox Beta version a try, if you don't like good interfaces just stay with Firefox Stable version like I did.

Yeah in Internet Explorer the interface sucks.

But I think the interface is much better in Firefox 2.0 than in the Beta version.

This is just my opinion, other people might be having different opinions so express them here.

Firefox has been the love of my pathetic life.
IE has the Don't Send stuff, and Opera is funny about dragging things, Safari is just slow for me for some reason.

I have both FF2 and FF3b running, but they tend to compete with each other to take over the position of "default browser" on their own.

    Anyone else face this problem?

I've had a lot of crashed with 5, not with any of the others but then again I'm putting it through it's paces opening 242-252 tabs @ time (pictures).

I tried doing so with 2.0.0.14...hahahahaha it could not even remotely handle it!!! @ least FF3 can do it!!

Firefox 3 Release Candidate 1 is now ready!
Was not due until end of this month, but they just released it.

    Way better than firefox 2!

Read all about it on my blog, plus where to go to download it.

Plus it comes in 45 different languages right now.

Like I blogged, it may not support the extensions from ff2.

As my ff ftp extension, not supported yet in this release.

Well I know I said I was going to wait for a stable release but I got bored of waiting. I have just installed FF3rc1 and it is looking good up to now. A lot of my plugins haven't been ported across but that was expected. Besides, I don't use a lot of them anyway.

This awesome extension moves your tab bar to the left side of the browser window and stacks tabs vertically. Highly recommended for people with 20 and above inch screens. You can add a splitter to resize the tab bar to any width you want.
