Internet Explorer 8 Beta Has Been Released

You'll find information there on new features as well as a download link for the beta.
DO NOT install this software on a production machine.

Good gosh...didn't they just come out with v7 not too long ago?...I see no need for a v8 already...lol...guess they are just trying to outdo firefox and maybe fix the issues they have with thinking everyone in the world has to use IE...

Official release date for IE7 was October 18, 2006.

my definition for programs like OSs and Browser and the like that people use a lot is 3 years

I still hate IE7, I'm hoping 8 is better, but I'm never brave enough to go Anything Beta with IE, made that mistake once...never again

This beta of IE8 is missing alot of FUNCTIONALITY! For some reason, they missed putting stuff into it.

I think this beta was really to fix the current bugs and just to let developers get a head start of the new crap, so when it does come out, it will be AWESOME.

IE6 ... horrible. But you can base your opinion on that. It has been quite a long time since then, and IE has made some very good improvements, especially in IE7.

IE6 is great IMHO over IE7

IE 5.1 is still on my system. They didn't make a 6 for mac.

I'm not too bothered, rarely use it anyway. The only time it comes in handy is when viewing real estate properties on a site that don't work on FF for some reason.

Yeah, Firefox is 100 times better than Internet Explorer, but everyone has their own opinion on the browsers they like.

I use ie7, firefox and opera. (note, sometimes at the same time).

if you develop websites u will understand the need for multiple browsers on your machine or the ability to view your site in mutliple browsers.

Firefox and Internet Explorer are the two most populars browsers that people use.

Yeah, when you develop a websites you always need to have couple of browsers to check if the site is compatible with a certain browser.

Am I like the only one in existence to get the "Do Not Send" error with the IEs.
Sure, they may work after a fresh installation of Windows, they'll work for months even.
But then when I'm downloading something big, it decides to die on me.
Afterwards, every time I exit IE, the same error pops up, kinda' like a nag screen.
