Thread: Safari for windows

My computers installed this without asking, but anyway, I need to use it now, it's handy for a web designer that Safari now works on the Windows platform....

However, I cannot seem to run it. I go to run it and I get an error:

Safari Web Browser has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Any ideas why it won't work on my laptop? Apple - Safari - Download

Seems many others are having this problem, I'll just have to wait.

Are you on Vista or Windows XP?

I am running 3.1 on Windows XP Pro without any problems. I know they found a vulnerability last week in Safari so they may have uploaded a new version that may be having issues.

XP. I had uninstalled and reinstalled and it did nothing.

I'll wait til I hear more about it, for now, browsershots.org works good for me.

I use Safari for cross-browser checking and its running just fine on my laptop :?

I just started using Safari on my desktop and laptop. It works great for me and I'm loving it, now if only it had extensions like FF.

You're probably better off Roboform doesn't work in Safari.

I don't want to use Safari, I'll always use Firefox, it's just to check my work.

my friends have problems with safari too on xp and vista,
i use it on vista and its work perfectly.

i've installed it to xp and vista with no problem..
wondering.. when safari can be run in linux

I have Safari 3 running in both WindowsXP and Windows Vista haven't experienced any problems till now. The design and the clear type display is very cool in Safari, I liked the browser.

I have tried running safari in windows but I have to uninstall it because it is conflicted with a program I have. But I like it's features.

I forgot to mention that it (Safari) started working for me.

I will NEVER use it. I use Firefox religiously, it's my God.

I only use Safari and the other installed browsers for testing my work.

Yeah, I only use FireFox too.

I think FireFox is the best so far browser created.
