I have noticed that in the processes tab of task manager that svchost.exe shows up. WTH is it? And why does it show up as 6 seperate processes?
Comes up as local service, system, and network service.

svchost.exe 'manages' your Windows services. It sucks up RAM like nothing else.
There's not much you can do about it, except maybe stop any unnecessary services from starting up. (Hit Windows key + R, then type "services.msc")
