Thread: I want to BUY an antivirus program - Which one is best?

Hi all,

I want to buy an Antivirus program to keep my new laptop safe and secure

I want to know which Antivirus is BEST?

1. Norton antivirus

2. eset

3. Panda Antivirus

Or some other?

Please guide me.

Wow IMO Nortan and Panda are the worst.....

The BEST is Kaspersky. It detects almost everything...its like $80/yr.

I would vote for ESET NOD32

I had an extremely nasty infection with a Chinese trojan that affected all my computers and my USB drives. It could only be eradicated by NOD32. It could be detected but not eradicated by Kaspersky. The others could not even detect it.

NOD32 is the next best....forgot about that one sorry

Yea, EXACT problem happened on my office PC. I got a chinese trojan there which affected all the PCs on the network and when I used my USB it came to the USB as well and affected my laptop a little.

A technician at office installed premium edition of NOD and it detected that chinese trojan easily.

Purchase Antivirus and Security Software at ESET. Buy Antivirus Programs and More.

Back to the original point. I would also vote for NOD32 as the best paid AV. It has been a while since I have used it and at the moment comodo's free edition is doing me fine.

i would go with BitDefender

Add me up to NOD32 user, never used the AV on the list so can't compare which one is the best.

I would recommend Symentec...

I had some trojans and such a few months back, and the only antivirus which found and removed it was McAfee VirusScan Plus. It's kept my computer clean since, and is not too intrusive.

presently, i am also using McAfee on one of my PC

The one I use is free and has protected me for many years, so why go paid?

I use NOD32, and it's never caused me any problems.

im using solo from past 2 years and its the best for me , very light and runs easily , wont eat to much system resources as Norton and all

Mcafee imo

Kaspersky. I'm using it and I'm very satisfied.

Have you tried Advast? ...

Im using mcafee, windows defender and spyware doctor they dont all detect the same things but at least one of them does.

you can pick McAfee up on ebay for like 10 quid... in my eyes norton sucks.
