Thread: Wii Or PS3?

I am planning to buy a game console but a bit confused about which one to go for. Any suggestion.

IMO , xbox360......but if its one or the other of those 2: ps3.

It depends on what you are in to. I love the Wii because it offers more interactive family games. It can give you a lot of exercise too. It is also great for all age groups. My nephews , 10 and 8, were hooked on PS2 but now they love Wii. Even my 80 yo mother loves it.
If you are into the more gory shoot em up type games, I would stick with the PS3.

This is a tricky one for serious game playing i would say ps3 but if you are having a few friends round the wii is a good laugh too.

If i had to pick one it would be the ps3 mine all mine.

What has been said is true, but I would say that the wii, even though it seems that the wii may have a infinite lifespan, needs always new accessories (thus more costs !) to evolve and not becoming boring.

As far as I am concerned, the wii, becomes quickly boring if you just play just with the wii mote. Actually the wii's lifespan depends mostly on the number of your friends ()

And as it has been said above, if you want to play alone, you should definitely go for the ps3 ; besides the graphics are far nicer in the latter than in the wii...

I enjoy the WII myself, they however really are not in the same class as the PS or Xbox systems.

Get both

PS3 is much better. You don't even have HD on the Wii LOL.

I have the wii but I don't play it often!

I would pick none imo and stick with the PC

Good for you. Nice choice I also like to purchase a PS3 since you can save movies here, coz I love watching movies.

Same with Grim if you have the budget take both if you can't go for PS3!

I would go with PS3 because the WII gets boring after a while and there are not as many games for it.

Geez maybe I am an old fart but I could play just the bowling games for hours. The one disc of sports games that come with it is loads of fun. Also you can download a lot of old games that are quite cheap. I also like that I can use the Internet and display pictures off my camera to show on a bigger screen.

I do agree that if you are the type that stays hidden in your room and play totally by yourself. PS3 is much better.

I suggest you to get a PS3 for serious gaming, while the Wii is for relaxation.

In my opinion, nintendo wii is better than playstation PS3. Nintendo is a 8 bit video game console. It is the best selling video game console. The price of this console is very low.

I want to get a wii for our kid, but by the time he's old enough to play with it something else will be out.

A wii is more for kids, i own a PS3 and i'm 100% satisfied with it, beats the xbox by far!

It depends if your more of a gamer id go with the ps3 if you just want to play more simple fun games id go with the wii.

Umm Wii has a few of those features as well right off the bat.

yes its on what sort of games you are into i have wii beacuse i like it for the family games. but you can also get some very good games for the wii. to me they seem more fun as you are controlling the games in a diffent way. but its really want you are in to if you like shotting games then maybe a ps3 or 360 would be the way to go but if you like fun games yet want a few of the new games then maybe a wii is for you. a lot of games for the 360 and ps3 are beening made for the wii now like call of duty and many other games. i think we are going to be seeing many more of the games comming out from the ps3 and 360 comming out to the wii. with in my view more fun as they way its is set up

The wii looks more amazing.It's got a better Games.Wii is the true next generation

Go for the PS3. Great console. Tons of Games. Futuristic/Cool Console.

But XBOX 360 will still be my favorite.

ps3 hell yeah, finished few games, was addicted to gta4 for a month until it was finished, took it slow to enjoy every moment.

I am wanting a ps 3 just for one game and that is god of war three that is like my favorite game of all time for me. But I was told that xbox 360 was better but wii is better because with it you get to play and have fun and get exercise all in the same time. That is great for kids at least

Wii is something for small children or families to play. I saw they have COD5 for it now though but I'm not sure how good the gameplay is going to be...does it have MP?

I have no problems playing WII, I enjoy it. I have the new maddan and works just fine.

PS3 has been here for a few days now, it's neat all the stuff you can use it for.
