    Default "eMachines" desktops

I am basically getting a few hundred dollars for free off my uncle and I was thinking about buying an "eMachines" desktop just for the heck of it because they are pretty cheap and you get a decent bit...

    I was thinking about this:

It has 320 gig hd and 2 gig ram....pretty decent for $400...

stay away from emachines, they're garbage. Checkout ebay for a new dell in sealed factory box. I purchased a brand new dell with factory warranty for $550. It's a quad-core Intel with 4GB of ram and 250GB hard drive.

My buddy bought an eMachines desktop/monitor combo from Wally-World it's a pretty nice little system even with 1 GB ram it's pretty snappy.

It's very similar to this combo except their processor is an Intel dual core and came with a 19" Monitor. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=9721033

Wal-Mart computer offerings seem to be regional because here several models of eMachines are always stocked on the shelf yet their website only lists a couple. Same thing happened to me when I bought my laptop I had to travel almost an hour into another state to get the model I wanted.
