Thread: Which browser do you use?

I nearly always use Firefox 3 now because it can open a lot of tabs in one window and has many useful add-ons. But rarely if the Firefox is closed and I want to go to a website to check something instantly I will open IE6 because its opening speed is faster.

Firefox and Google Chrome are the best!

And I.E. 's opening speed is NOT Faster....it's the slowest browser around!

Oh really? But the opening speed of IE 6 is surely faster than Firefox 3 on my pc. Is there something wrong with my Firefox?

I use them all when checking that websites display properly in them. But my favourite is definetly FF3. But Google chrome is also quite good if your just doing quick simple browsing as I have found it to be quite fast. One browser I will not touch is Safari. I don't even check my sites work in it. As far as Im concerned, its useless and horribly bugged.

I do web coding so I use all 3 IE FF and GC

i use firefox but it keeps crashing now aday, i dont have any viruses so i dont no the problem with it.

Firefox never crashes for me, it rules

I messed with 3.0, but some of the addons that I use, didn't work, so I dropped back down to 2.x

It is still slower after clearing cookies. Is it because my default browser is IE6?

Firefox for browsing and doing my things.

For development testing i'm using all other ( starting IE 5.5 , ending with the newest web browser Chrome )

I use Firefox as my Primary browser, then Opera and then Internet explorer.

Hey everyone. Listen up. If you are only surfing the web and didn't do any development jobs with it, I would advise all of you to take a close look at Chrome. It is the fastest browser available currently. Aside from the speed factor, it is also simple, user friendly, hilarious (if you have errors in the surfed page) and light on memory!

When I'm using my old laptop which is very slow and has seen better days, then I use Chrome on that to browse online and find it quite good for this. But I never see this as replacing Firefox and only use it on this one laptop.

Me, too. But I ignore IE 5.5 because it is outdated long time ago.

And sometimes there are no CSS hacks can apply styles only to Safari or Google Chrome because both of them use the same rendering engine. Usually when I encounter such situations I will ignore Google Chrome.

I think the FireFox browser works alot better and it doesn't require alot of plugins as I.E.

I am using firefox and IE just for substitute.

I tried installing chrome on my pc, but kaspersky pulled it up as a threat
so I've never tried it

I am using Firefox, Opera and for some page IE. I had Installed Google Chrome But Uninstalled it

I have never even installed Opera or Safari.......are they worth the time?

Usually web developers especially XHTML/CSS developers install many browsers for the testing of web pages. If you are not a web developer just install one which you think it is the best for you.

I like the way safari displays the websites also the fonts and other things are also cool in Safari

But sometimes you think the font is too fat in Safari.

Before I'm using IE, but now I love using FireFox... Really works for me..

definately Firefox , my fav by far

I stick to Firefox and Safari for personal use. But have to use IE (I like IEview and IEtab plug-ins) and now Chrome to see if my websites are working on these browsers.

My usage of Opera mini (on phone) has been steadily increasing lately.

I use a browser called flock it's based on the latest Firefox engine but is modified to make it easier to access and post blogs youtube video's etc

IE is faster than firefox? Wow i never heard that before. The new FF is really fast and currently a lot faster than chrome.

Firefox is my most desired choice of web browsers but I also use Internet Explorer...Those 2 are the only ones that really appeal to me.

I am using Mozilla Fire fox because It has more features as compare to IE

I am using Mozilla Firefox 3.0.3.

I have used Firefox for several years and got the new version as soon as it was out of beta. I really love Firefox and use it for everything, I only use IE when there's no other choice.

I use Firefox 3 right now and i'm pretty happy with it.
I don't like IE 7, if i have to choose a prefered IE version, i would go with IE 6.

I will agree with the last poster. I tend to use FireFox 3.

I use FF3 everyday for everyday things, then I use IE7 (be careful with ie8), then opera. I never keep opera installed, just when I need to test things. other than that, I use Check Browser Compatibility, Cross Platform Browser Test - Browsershots to test out all my designers and programs.
