    Default Voice activated software

Anyone had any experience using Speech software like Dragon or MacTalk (or any others?)

Is it worth the hassle of setting up/ cost to effectiveness?

I've heard some tend to use if for a little while, but don't know anyone as yet that uses it regularly. I've also found that some find correcting the errors of the speech software takes more time than just typing it up from the start.

    Any thoughts?

It is more of a toy. I thought it would be so great to buy Dragon and so I spent the money on it. I used it for about a week. It was a pain trying to repeat the incorrect words. It was fun to play with but it now sits on the shelf for over a year.

Allout is right. I tried it when it first came out and thought it was the bee's knees, sadly they don't seem to have improved it much since the day they released it. Hence why what was once the bees knees is now a pile of crap. I mean this was like 10 years ago lol./

I have used it and found it very annoying since it didn't work very well.

I haven't ever used one of those programs, thought it wouldn't get the speech right and would be a waste of time :P
