Thread: Which company's laptop do you prefer?

Well i will go for a DELL definately.At present i am software consultant and i have DELL 1525 series and its really working well and professional perfect.So what you will prefer?

I think Dell is indeed a good choice in company laptop since it is really reliable as well as not that too much expensive

hey technohive i think your choice are same with my choice do you have laptop?which company?

I will also go on DELL and Toshiba because they are durable.

I like Samsung laptop and I like it. It's quite modern and it works without any problems,

Dell is of course the best. Just think about the Alienware series.

Asus can be a good price/quality ratio compromise.

I have a samsung netbook that I bought late last year and have to say it's one of the best purchases i've made in a long time

I would prefer Toshiba because it's reliable and durable, but it is too expensive for me

We use DELL for many years. Only the buttery was gone. It's work hard without problems

Well i have seen that mostly choices are goes to DELL only.well no doubt about it.DELL is superb no doubt about it.

ya Dell is really good for all purpose whether for professional work or for home basis.even Dell is reliable for me too.

If money is no object then a shiny new Sony laptop. Otherwise Toshiba and Compaq are also decent machines.

I love VAIO however i use a HP Compaq.

I like HP/Compaq.

I've heard good things about Samsung. I know one person who has been using the same Samsung laptop for a few years without problems.

Well i have not used much HP Compaq so don't know much about the HP and Compaq.

My dell is having nothing but problems

I've always had Acers.
I like Acer. I think they provide quality and value.

I have no doubt I will keep this one for a good few years if the hardware doesn't die on me or anything like that. It's my laptop, so I don't really care about performance as much as it's portability. I just use it for taking about with me while at university or if i'm going to meet a client (although the small screen is a bit annoying sometimes for showing potential designs/the created website).

I've had the same problem when working with a designer who uses a small Mac. We go to see a customer, he pitches the design and I pitch the hosting offer. His designs are nice but the small screen does them no justice.

Well i haven't got any problem in my DELL still.even if you are going for a rate than there will be a difference just check it out.

I really want to buy Apple laptop, i am not interested in any other.

i prefer using toshiba or IBM lenovo...
they are good quality laptops.. and also their support in my country is quite reliable..

I prefer using DELL because of its stability. It is said also that compare to the other leading companies who made laptops such as ACER and others have a lot of risk factor wherein the lifetime is not that high. I am more on the stability factor.

IBM's are pretty bulletproof

Sony vaio . I have had 3 different laptops, all was good. No problems with them

I prefer HP. Use one for 5 month and no complains. Cheers!

I also prefer HP.worked so far without mistakes

I like my dell laptop. It's been 3 years since i bought and i don't have any problems with it.

Dell to me is overall too commercialized. So I recommend HP all the way.

Stay away from any ACER laptop, they suck and crash easily, faulty hard drives and cooling fans.

Customer support sucks, they actually make you pay to ship your broken laptop to them to have them fix it even if it is still under warranty. Then they fix one thing and nothing else.

HP actually pays for shipping to their repair facility and back to you, they also repair everything that needs to be repaired on time. If something can't be repaired they replace the whole computer.

Acer will not do that, I had bought an ACER for college only because it was super cheap and i definately got a cheap product for.

Cooling fan went out, hard drive over headed lost all of my work and this happened right before the day of finals and lab reports were do.

I ripped ACER customer service a new one litterally on the phone, the school had to call the cops on me because I was so furious and throwing stuff around in the student lounge.

Thanks to ACER my GPA definately dropped a few points.issy:

I am software professional. I have my own development team and i have more then 12 Laptop’s. I have all top famous brands like HP, DELL, LENAVO, TOSIBA, ACCER, and SONY also but i like to work at ACCER. I have ACCER 5738Z model. Which is cheapest in all my laptops and have full functionality, like crystal eye web cam, Wi-Fi, Card reader.320 GB disk and also have 15.6" screen which is the largest screen in the all laptops.

I agree. I had an ACER and it had lots of problems. The display went down after one year. Now it has died.
Curently, I am using Toshiba and altough it won't work unless being plugged in, I have it for three years. I did a reinstall recently and it's working better now.

How about HP..rite now i have HP and its works well and no doubt good performance..

Yes, HP's are great laptops. I switched to HP after my first acer crashed on me twice, once initially then once again even after they mailed it back to me from the repair shop.

then I had gotten another acer and that one went too, so I am now all about HP.

Also, I went to an only science and technology school where laptop were actual requirements for you to attend class. I noticed attending this institution that all my professors also had HP, this kind of influenced my decision on going with HP.

They are Doctors and Ph.D's who need to rely on their laptop everyday for work, if it works for them it will work for me

I got my macbook pro about 3 years ago when i was in college for graphic design... and ive never had a problem with it, battery is good, screen is just as it was, its NOT slow and i have soo many graphics, music, and pictures saved...I will never have another computer except for MAC ever again.

I use DELL Inspiron 1545 & like it.
