Thread: Is it a good idea?

Hi) i have a question for you.
when i bought my laptop it had embedded OS Vista, it locates on disc D, so when i want to reset the system i don't have to use a disc. Now i want to set W7 instead of Vista coz on my second computer it works really good, but is it safe? i mean if i delete all data from disc D will my laptop work? i afraid that there are all drivers on disc D and that my computer need them to work correctly, so i don't now what to do...

here is a couple things you might want to check:

1- Check the requirements for W7, then make sure your laptop meets those requirements.

2- Check the laptop manufacturer's website, make sure they have W7 drivers for it.

Once you have those two things taken care of, then just wipe it clean and install W7, at first sound or other things might not work, but you should be able to get online and download the drivers.

I think that deleting everything form disk D will not prevent your laptop from perfect working, I can advice you not to touch disk C if there are program files - without them work of your laptop will be unstable.
