Thread: How Often is it Better to Change a Laptop?

Hi to all here! I need your advice. How often is it necessary to change a laptop for a newer model? I prefer to change my laptop every two years because it becomes dated too soon. Is it optimal time for doing this?

Thats an interesting question. My feeling is that unless you have unlimited cash, you should only change if the technology in your laptop is preventing you from doing what you need to do.

I think that the manufacturers and retailers set traps by coming up with bigger this, faster that and we all get sucked into it. Who can blame them, thats called marketing.

If you do an honest assessment of your needs and your current laptop can cut it for another year, then hold off. Anyway thats the way I rationalise things.

I agree that PPC has become prohibitively expensive and SEO is still a bit of a mystery to me.

However recently I have been using PPV (PAY PER VIEW) with quite a bit of success. At around .07 per targetted view you can run some very profitable campaigns.

There are many PPV networks so just google PPV and research the different networks. Although you generally need to deposit $100 to open an account you can test campaigns for around $10.

Iwould also be interested to hear from others who have tried PPV but for me it looks very promising.

Laptops are fairly reasonable priced these days for the power, performance, space, features, etc. I don't know about you but I'm not going to go out and buy one unless I need to. They are kind of cheaply made and depending on how much you do with it, or slam it around. It may last 5-10 years, or it may go to heck in 3-5 years. I still have one that is around 8 years old and works great yet, but I take care of it and don't use it that much.

I am completely agreed with webpageguru. Change of the laptop depends upon your current requirement and configuration of your laptop.

Well, it was suggested to drain your laptop batteries before charging it.

as long as a new model is available :P

changing of laptops varies on your needs or on your configuration if your current laptops cannot perform the task that you like to do then you have to change it to a new one that offer the features that you want.. but if I have lots of money then why not change to the latest release.

I used to change my laptop every 6 or 7 months, however, I've had the same laptop now for the past year or so, because I haven't had any need to upgrade it.
