Thread: What kind of Operating system do you use?

just let me know what kind of operating system you use and do you like it?
am using xp and i like it

I currently have Windows 7, the laptop I purchased came with Windows Vista pre-installed, but once Windows 7 was released I qualified for a free upgrade to Windows 7.

Got the installation disk in the mail after a few months, upgraded to windows 7 and so far so good, must say that I do like it.

Running Win 7 and Ubuntu on my desktop. I like both just about equally. Win 7 blows the cheeks off of Vista, IMHO.

I'm running Snow Leopard on a Mac Mini which pretty decent but I don't use it much lately.

xp home edition is very solid...i have it on most of my computers.....

I can't imagine using anything but XP as it's the best thing in the world.

I used windows XP mainly for my daily job.

I am using Windows 7 and I think it is great. It is the best version of Windows to come out in a long time. One of the features that stands out (I hope not to need) is the Problem Steps Recorder. It records every mouse click and key stroke; takes screen shots; and gathers technical reading data and saves it all as a MHTML report page that can be sent to the help desk.

You can access this gem at the Start menu and typing in psr.exe

I guess it will surprise most of you - I'm a happy user of OpenSolaris It's a free clone of Sun's Solaris operating system. It's nice, covers all my needs and I do not care about viruses at all as Windows viruses fail to run on it

CentOS - home Server
Ubuntu - Desktop
Monowall - Home firewall/rounter
XP - Daughters desktop
OSX - Wife's Macbook

I use windows XP at home and at work. what I like in xp because it is supported by all software. And I also like windows 7 but the sad thing is not all my computer hardware are supporting windows 7.

You havn't tried 7 yet? XP, well it get the job done. You can directly shift to Win 8. it's going to release very soon.

For me Win 7 does the job pretty well. i mean what else could you ask from an OS than what 7 has to offer.

I am now using Windows 7 but i like Xp because it is more easier and comfortable.

I am now using windows 7. It is very update and looking good. Function are user friendly.
