Thread: Control Panels

I use 2 cpanels. One is cPanel with WHM and the other one is Plesk Parallels.

I find the first one more user-friendly than the last one.

i have to aggree..even though i use cpanel/whm and they are nice to have...user friendly for the client...the addons are a killer...i mainly use cpanel/whm because im use to it more so then other panels...its a personnal preference .

Cpanel is still the most known panel therefore what most people would naturally pick, for a free panel lxadmin/webmin is decent

cPanel is the best, for sure!

cPanel w/ WHM.. it's the one available in my web host so ...

i use cPanel, its easy and fast.

i prefer cpanel but its expensive. cpanel is easy to use for server admin i have also used lxadmin, but still i can say cpanel is better .

I used to use Cpanel but when I moved to Server Intellect they were using Helm. I personally like Helm a lot. Very simple easy to use. Plus My host is like the largest helm user so they can really support it. Cpanel is good but if the host dosent know how to fix it when it breaks (And it does) what can you do.

You could always find a cPanel host that knows what they are doing and knows how to fix cPanel issues.

Cpanel & whm all the way for me for sure. It is so easy for me to get around in and I learned it very quickly. Although, first looking at the backend of root access of a dedicated server using cpanel & whm, it looked so complicated. But it isn't at all.

I use the DirectAdmin cp, and really like it. After a lot of time of reading about practically nothing but cPanel on IM forums it was a surprise to find out at the webhostingtalk (.com) forum that DA was at least as highly regarded there as cpanel. DA is also newer, so it picked up that support in less time.

A lot of the posters there are hosts themselves and one of them said "All of my customers came from cpanel, none of them would go back to it." Probably not a big host if he knew that about all his customers, but still seemed like a powerful statement.

I like CPanel, I think that it really is one of the best. However here soon im going to have to deal with another control panel.

Depends. Open Source, then I would go with VirtualMin. Paying wise, I would go with Directadmin. It is fairly light and fast and easy to use.

The poll speaks for itself, CPanel is the most popular platform for Linux and there is no doubt in how powerful it is. Only the premium hosts offer it but there are many cheaper hosts who offer it at a low price like the host I am using.

The only thing you need to watch out about with CPanel is the Fantastico scripts. Just make sure your host keeps it up to date. My host has been very good about keeping the scripts up to date and secure.

Most hosting companies have cPanel updates on automatic.

Most popular, easy interface and very user friendly with lots of features makes it a unique product.

CPanel is the best. There just isn't an alternative. All of the other options are very poorly coded and don't have the features and powers while being so easy to use.

cPanel doesn't cost me extra either which is a HUGE plus.

I have worked with used CPanel/WHM www.cpanel.com and it is the best that I have ever worked with

cPanel - However Plesk10 has made some great improvements and is actually getting me to want to try it out.
