Thread: Unable to Mount Addon Domains in Cpanel

I am having problems in mounting addon domains in one of my servers.

"Error from park wrapper: Sorry, cannot determine nameserver IPs. Please make sure that the domain is registered with a valid domain registrar.'

My webhoster would run a fix each time but the problem recurs almost immediately. I wonder if anybody has any ideas how to deal with this? Thanks

That has happened to me a couple of times with one particular host, but I try later and it works

The domain you are trying to add, is it pointing to the new nameservers? I saw a discussion over at JPC saying that if the domain isn't pointing to their nameservers you cannot add it.

1. Is the domain pointed to your hosting provider nameservers?

2. Did you first tried to create a subdomain / directory & then to add your domain?

The domain(s) has been pointed to the server for over 48 hours. I didn't create a subfolder first. However, it is clear that this problem occurs with this server only and not with any other servers that I have had before.

Try submit a ticket to your hosting firm support dep. There is a setting in VHM regarding domain parking ( which must be enabled ) ...

Thanks for your input. My webhoster is taking this matter up directly with Cpanel. Hopefully, they will look at it.

Is this caused by the cpanel/whm tweak settings?
Under 'domains' there are some settings, if you have the correct ones turned off Cpanel should not even look to see what the name servers are set at for the domain, besides what you enter.

Also have you tried forcing a whm update? Sometimes that fixes odd little things for me

Login to WHM, click Tweak Settings, make sure you have the following checked:

Allow Creation of Parked/Addon Domains that resolve to other servers (i.e. domain transfers)

Allow Creation of Parked/Addon Domains that are not registered

Then you should be good to go and won't have to wait in the future.

If you have a reseller account or better you'll have WHM access with cpanel, if not you wont.

First point the domains to new servers, and then park domain after propogation.
