LXadmin

Anyone use LXadmin yet? It's similiar to Cpanel, Plesk, etc.
I just picked up a VPS with it, so far it's not bad. A bit lacking in some areas, a bit different in others, but all in all not horrible so far.

Sorry no preview or anything, just started working with it. It's pretty decent thus far, not the same as cpanel but not horrible.

Hello,

I already used and approved

The LXadmin is very good for VPS because it uses little memory and it gives to all reinstall the system with a click

Cpanel is better in some directions as to install scripts automatically and the control panel is more complete, but it uses much memory

LXadmin is cheaper then cpanel but still due to it's lack of popularity it is not used by many webmasters. Most even haven't heard of this control panel

I've played with their demo, but wasn't impressed.

LXadmin can be considered if you don't want to play much with your control panel, it have all the required basic features. We do offer LXadmin(1GBP/month), cPanel/WHM and Plesk as control panels with our hosting plans.

My VPS with lxadmin is annoying the hell out of me! I can't do anything, it keeps saying

no way cpanel/whm is the best for me. I havent used that one yet but dont really want to either lol

Cpanel/WHM IMO is the best as well. Just wish you could get it a bit cheaper

is "light" and how someone said before it uses less memory than Cpanel or Plesk , is good if you want speed , less server load

I have used lxadmin for the last 3-4 months and have nothing but good to say about it. It uses next to no resources, as far as I know it is free, and it has the option to 'hot swap' programs. For example I can switch between lighttd and apache in a matter of minutes if I need to. It literally just uses yum to download the other program, installs it, uninstalls the previous and copies all the files over.

PS. hot swap may not have been the best term, but it was the only one that came to mind.

Not even close to as powerful as whm/cpanel, it's also got some quirks and is not very stable from my experience.

It is not 'horrible' but I definitely do not plan on using it again.

There are differences, but in my opinion cPanel and Plesk are not alike. I am comftable using LXadmin. Probably more so that cPanel.

I have personally had no problems with stability and have had very little downtime in the past 3-4 months of using it. I know what you mean about not being as powerful, but it is meant to be 'lightweight'.

I had lots of stability issues, forced updates, it was a mess.
