Thread: Cpanel Update Stalling

My newest server stalls on Cpanel updates.

Any clues?

Nope still not working.

I see this one guy mention the upgrade took 15 minutes, you sure it's just not taking a long time as opposed to stalling?

"You should check the update logs in /var/cpanel/updatelogs/ to see what it is stalling on, or use strace on the active process to see what it is doing."

It is stalled out. I killed off the processes manually in ssh and have started a force upgrade in ssh.

I'll see if that works.

If that fails, check the log files too like cPanel suggests, they claim it can help, especially the strace part. It's from their support forum.

Yes.
Killing off the update process via ssh and then running a force command with the update.
